Butter. It's not just for bread.

I saw this article on Wisebread and thought it was pretty useful.  The tip about coating a pill in butter to make it easier to swallow makes me want to gag, but there good ones such as preserving a cut onion or hard cheese, and making snow shoveling easier (not that we get snow in Ohio anymore!).
