These cookies from Trader Joe's are GOOD! My friend Kelley recommended these and she was so right! I don't love crispy chocolate cookies usually, but these were melt-in-your-mouth good. The bag contains 2 separately wrapped packs of 7 cookies for $3.99 - so while they aren't cheap, they aren't terribly priced compared to a lot of gluten-free goodies.

The most shocking thing to me is that if you look at the ingredients, they are all things that I have in my kitchen (i.e. real food!). Compare that to a label of
Chips Ahoy - (
Ingredients: ENRICHED FLOUR (WHEAT FLOUR, NIACIN,
REDUCED IRON, THIAMINE MONONITRATE [VITAMIN B1], RIBOFLAVIN [VITAMIN
B2], FOLIC ACID), SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS (SUGAR, CHOCOLATE, DEXTROSE,
COCOA BUTTER, SOY LECITHIN - AN EMULSIFIER, SUGAR, PARTIALLY
HYDROGENATED SOYBEAN OIL, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, LEAVENING (BAKING
SODA, AMMONIUM PHOSPHATE), SALT, WHEY (FROM MILK), NATURAL AND
ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, CARAMEL COLOR)
I would say that these are a BIG winner. While I usually like to make homemade baked goods, I will definitely be buying these in the future.
